| 1. Please follow the steps below one after another to learn how to use Progress Drawings. |
| 2. Progress Drawings to be installed on your computer before proceeding any of the following steps ( Install ) |
| 3. System requirement is AutoCAD 2004 or above and Primavera Project Planner (P3) |
| 4. If you find any difficulty, do not hesitate to contact administrator admin@projectmonitoringsystems.com |
| Step 1 Download Sample Project Pack |
| Click here and save the ZIP file on the hard disc. Example: C:\PD Sample 1 |
| Unpack the downloaded ZIP file into C:\PD Sample 1 |
| This folder contains: |
| 1. AutoCAD drawing PD_Sample_1.dwg |
| 2. P3 Project PDS1 with target TAR1 |
| Step 2 Create a New Project |
| Run Progress Drawings from the screen shortcut or from the windows program menu. If you are not installed click here to install. |
| Enter your username (email) and password. If you are not registered get it from http://www.projectmonitoringsystems.com |
| Registration is FREE with full options in Progress Drawings |
| Click on the New Project button. Enter a name for the new project say PD Sample 1 and click on Create button. |
| Restart the program again |
| Step 3 Upload AutoCAD Drawing |
| Run Progress Drawings, Login and select the new project created PD Sample 1 |
| Click on the AutoCAD Drawing... button |
| Select the file PD_Sample_1.DWG from the folder C:\PD Sample 1 |
| Click on Open button of the file browsing window |
| Wait till to complete loading |
| Restart the program again |
| Step 4 Attach Primavera Project |
| Run Progress Drawings, Login and select the new project created PD Sample 1 |
| Click on the Primavera Project... button |
| Wait till to load Primavera opening screen |
| Click on Primavera Project Planner radio button if not selected |
| Click on Connect button |
| Click on Browse button and select your primavera project PDS1 from C:\PD Sample 1 |
| Click on Load button and wait till to complete loading |
| Restart the program again |
| Step 5 Monitor your initial planned drawing |
| Run Progress Drawings, Login and select the new project created PD Sample 1 |
| Click on the View Progress Drawing... button |
| Wait till to open the following drawing in AutoCAD |

| Zoom the title block area (as shown below) to see the details |
|
|
| Object have been colored based on its progress status (Completed, Progressing, Pending and Delayed) |
| Activities are listed with planned and actual progress |
| Markers in different colors are placed to identify objects of certain activities |
| All the drawing elements in this drawing are in one color (Pending) with planned and actual percentages are 0% |
| Now proceed to the next step to know how to reflect the progress in the Primavera project on the AutoCAD drawing |
| Step 6 Update and View new Progress Drawing |
| Run Primavera Project Planner |
| Open the project PDS1 from C:\PD Sample 1 |

| Update A110 to 100% |
| Update A110 to 100% |
| Update A130 to 10% |
| Schedule with the new data date 25-Jan-2009 as shown below |

|
| It is clear that the first two activities are completed (A100 and A110) |
| Third is progressing (A120) |
| Fourth is delayed (A130) |
| Others are pending (A140, A150 and A160) |
| Now close Primavera Project Planner |
| Click on the Primavera Project... button |
| Wait till to load Primavera opening screen |
| Click on Primavera Project Planner radio button if not selected |
| Click on Connect button |
| Click on Browse button and select your primavera project PDS1 from C:\PD Sample 1 |
| Click on Load button and wait till to complete loading |
| Now click on View Progress Drawing.. to view the latest progress drawing as shown below |

| Now you try to create your own updates in Primavera and try again to see new progress drawings as described above |
| After this exercise, try to create your own project with your project drawing and primavera project of your real project and enjoy the results. |
